Sports Injury Treatment in South Croydon – What Works and Why
Why Sports Injuries Are So Common in South Croydon
Overuse, Poor Technique & Lack of Recovery Time
Many of the sports injuries we treat in South Croydon are linked not to a single traumatic event, but to overuse and repeated strain over time. This is especially common in gym-goers who are training hard but not recovering properly, or in amateur athletes who haven’t received coaching on movement technique. The result? Muscles become overloaded, joints inflamed, and tendons irritated.
How Local Gym-Goers and Runners Are Affected
- Knee pain from treadmill running or poor foot alignment
- Hip tightness from weighted squats or lunges done with poor balance
- Lower back strain from deadlifts or fast-paced functional training
- Achilles and calf pain from insufficient warm-ups before longer runs

I had treatments for backache and neck pain with both Tom and David, during pregnancy and after birth. I found the sessions really beneficial, they were gentle but straight to the point causing the pain. My mother sorted her backache in 4 treatments too. And I also got my newborn treated which helped her as she is much more relaxed now. I definitely recommend this clinic, osteopathy is good at any stage of life.
